In March, I founded the online education magazine The Edvocate. Its mission is to advocate for education equity, reform, and innovation. The Edvocate website features P-20 education news and opinion that is updated daily, and an opt-in email newsletter. Currently, I am looking for contributors to the website. This would be a great opportunity for academics, education advocates, teachers, ed-tech fanatics, and higher education experts to "get their name out there." Contributors are not paid, but they will have their work disseminated to the masses. For individuals interested in submitting original op-eds and articles on topics that affect the pre-K, K-12, and higher education community, please adhere to the following guidelines: Submissions should be between 600-1,000 words in length. We suggest you avoid using bullets and subheadings; if you must use them, keep them to a minimum. Providing sources for your article or op-ed is good practice and they must be hyperlinked into the piece itself. We reserve the right to edit each piece for grammar, usage, length and style. Also, each piece will be fact-checked for accurateness. As the author, you retain ownership; however, we reserve the right to use your article on our site and in our newsletters in perpetuity. Please email submissions as Word attachments. Make sure you include your full contact information, along with a two- to four-sentence biography.
