Love & Relationships
A reporter at a national publication is writing about how the qualities that initially attract us to a partner can eventually turn out to be the same ones that cause problems in a relationship.

Were you initially attracted to a quality in your partner that over time (perhaps surprisingly) started to drive you crazy? What was it, and how did you cope? (Examples: The “strong silent type” starts to strike you as withholding. An ambitious partner starts to feel controlling or domineering. Someone you loved for being laid back seems just lazy over time.)

The reporter is looking for examples of couples who discovered this changing dynamic and found a way to work out the annoyance. (Also, if you ended a relationship because of something like this, that is interesting, too.)

If you have a personal story to tell about this topic—and are willing to let me use your name in print—please send details of your story and contact info to aceb5@aol.com ASAP (by NOON WED (7/23) at the latest).
