Hello. My name is Erik Martin and I am a freelance writer for EContent Magazine (www.econtentmag.com). I am seeking to interview CMS experts, digital experience management pros, infrastructure analysts, and digital content experts for the following story topic:
HOW UPDATING YOUR INFRASTRUCTURE CAN DELIVER BETTER DIGITAL EXPERIENCES. In the age of digital experience management (DEM), technology is key. Your old CMS may not be up to the task of adapting to the constantly changing list of platforms and devices you are expected to keep up with. Are your analytics tools able to tell you what you really need to know? This article will explore why and how you may need to update your content-related infrastructure in order to deliver the experiences your audience expects -- and keep up with future changes. Below is a list of questions I’m seeking answers to for this story. I can either do a phone interview or an email interview (whereby you send me written answers to my questions below that I can use as quotes in my story, which is often easier; written responses should be thorough and detailed, please). My deadline is noon p.m. central, Thursday, March 31. Please e-mail me back your interest and phone availability or your indication that you plan to email me typed up answers to these questions:
QUESTIONS:1. Why is digital experience management (DEM) such an important concept/focus today, and how has it changed/evolved over the past year or two? Why/how is better technology the key in the age of DEM?2. Many believe that updating your infrastructure can deliver better digital experiences for customers/users. Why is this so, and what are the issues at stake/affected here? How is this related to digital experience management?3. What is the difference between “infrastructure” and “architecture”? Does your CMS architecture also need to be updated? Why/how?4. Can you give a real world or hypothetical example of how updating infrastructure/architecture can create better digital experiences as well as better DEM?5. What steps/recommendations (try to list at least 5) do you suggest when it comes to updating your infrastructure/architecture to deliver better digital experiences/DEM? What’s involved and why/how is infrastructure typically updated? What needs to be done (in order) and who needs to be involved?6. Another problem often cited is that your old CMS may not be up to the task of adapting to the constantly changing list of platforms and devices you are expected to keep up with. Can you explain why this is so important, provide an example that underscores this point, and give suggestions on what to do about it?7. Many experts are recommending decoupled (also known as “headless”) CMS architecture for greater freedom and flexibility. Can you explain what this means, the pros/cons, and tips on how to go about this?8. Any other thoughts or comments you want to add?9. Do you have any visuals you can provide that we can publish with this story (e.g., graph, chart, table, screenshot, slide, illustration, etc.) that you have the rights to?10. What is your full name, title, company, and city/state location where you are based?
