THE PERFECT TIME FOR THE BEST RATE: IS THERE A BEST HOUR, DAY, WEEK OR MONTH TO SHOP FOR/LOCK IN MORTGAGE RATES? Below is a list of questions I’m seeking answers to. QUESTIONS: 1. Is there a more preferred time of the day, day of the week, week of the year, or even month of the year when you should shop for and/or lock in a mortgage interest rate? 2. What tips can you provide to best time your rate shopping/rate lock—any strategies here? 3. Is it worthwhile to even try to ideally time when you shop for or lock in a mortgage interest rates? 4. Instead of trying to ideally time a rate shop/lock, is there a better strategy you would recommend? What/why? 5.
