Hello. It’s Erik Martin, freelance writer for EContent Magazine (www.econtentmag.com). I am seeking to interview you or an expert you can recommend for the following story topic:

HOW ECHO, GOOGLE HOME AND OTHER AI ASSISTANTS CAN CHANGE THE GAME FOR CONTENT CREATORS. NBC recently announced they will be partnering with Google Home to offer various types of news summaries. Other new Google Home partners include Netflix for movie streaming, WebMD for medical information, Tender for mixed-drink advice, Chill for Netflix movie recommendations and the Food Network for recipes. This article will examine what content providers can learn from partnerships like these and why and how they should position themselves to capitalize on the smart speaker/AI assistant bandwagon (note that Facebook is also introducing Jarvis, and Microsoft will soon release Cortana-powered smart speakers, too). My deadline to complete all interviews is Tuesday, Jan. 10
before noon central. Please e-mail me back your interest and availability. Here are my interview questions I plan to ask:

QUESTIONS:
1. Why and how are smart speakers/AI assistants important to digital publishers/content providers, and what kinds of content opportunities can they provide? Please cite one or more examples (real or hypothetical).
2. How and to what extent will consumers increasingly use these smart speakers/AI assistants to get their content in the near and long-term future?
3. Why is the aforementioned news about NBC partnering with Google Home to provide various news summaries important or groundbreaking, especially to news content providers?
4. Do smaller content providers have any real shot of partnering with Amazon, Google, Facebook and Microsoft on their smart speakers/devices, or will the big name content players shut them out?
5. How can content providers currently “get in the game” with Echo, Google Home, etc.? What should they be thinking about and what do they need to do? Please provide tips.
6. How will this smart speaker/AI assistant space grow and expand for content providers in the coming months/years? Is this a fad that will eventually die out, or is the smart speaker trend a lasting one?
7. Any other thoughts or comments you want to add?
8. What is your full name, title, company, and city/state location where you are based?
