Do you have a personal story about weight loss in conjunction with a rescue animal?
Mutual Rescue™ is a national initiative created by Humane Society Silicon Valley to change the conversation around animal welfare.
Through authentic storytelling, Mutual Rescue demonstrates that when people help animals, their own lives can be transformed too—often in miraculous ways.
Mutual Rescue's pilot film, “Eric & Peety,” has had more than 85 million online views in the past year. The New York Times cited it as California’s #1 news-site video of 2016.
Mutual Rescue will share selected stories in film, print, and online. Four stories, based in the United States, will be made into short films for release in 2018. Stories from outside the U.S. will be considered for print and online publications but not for film. Final selections will be announced in the fall of 2017.
