Getting the Best for Your Business With Online Slide Presentations

You most likely have head the cliché that a "picture is worth a thousand words". When it comes to slide presentations you have the advantage of combining pictures and words as a marketing tool for your business. It all begins by putting together a good slide presentation that gets the message out that you want to share with your potential clients. There are many excellent free programs to help you compile your slide presentation. Once you have completed this task then you need to begin to market your presentation in order to get it seen.

You will find that you have lots of choices to be able to do this, and some will allow you to upload your presentation to their site with no costs, whereas others will charge a fee for this opportunity.

If you are not computer savvy you may be a little nervous about having to upload your presentation but it really isn't a difficult procedure, and once you have done it for one site you will find they are have basically the same upload procedures.

A good one to start with would be Slideshare.net. The first thing you will have to do is join their site by creating an account. After you have done this you will be able to easily sign into the site using your Facebook account if you have one, or your log in information that you provide when you register.

When you fill out the registration form you will be asked if you want to update to the Pro level. This is probably not something you want to do at the moment as there will then be a cost involved to upload your presentations. This would allow you extra privileges and it may be something you will want to do in the future once you are experiencing favourable results from this type of marketing.

Step one:

You will now have to decide whether you want to upload your material so that when you are done everyone will be able to view it which means you would upload publicly. Or you can decide to do it privately (this will cost though) now where it can be seen only by those that you provide the link for. You can change this to later if you decide to do so. You will most likely see an ad encouraging you to go Pro (the paid version of Slideshare). To avoid this, just click on the go public.

Step two:

You will then be given the chance to choose the file that you want to upload. You will see a list of all your documents in the small window, and you just need to click on the file you want and it will begin uploading.

Step three:

While the upload is taking place you will also see on your screen some places to put some information about your slideshow and you also have some options.

Step four:

Under the privacy tab you will have a choice of who you want to share your presentation with. It can be public which would be everyone, or you can keep it private which is for your viewing only (you will have to update to pro version for this). In addition to this, you can choose to allow your current contacts the chance to view it. If you haven't started a contact list as yet you can do so without having to leave the page. You just need to click on the create a new contact list and then enter the email of the contacts you want to add.

Step five:

You will want to choose the language of the target market that you want to reach the most which would be the language that you have prepared your presentation in most likely.

Step six:

There are some places now available for you to enter some specific information. Here you want to put the Title of your presentation. Then you need to put some tags in which will help the search engines know what your presentation is all about. Finally you need to give a description of what the presentation represents. You want this to be interesting enough that it will attract viewers to your presentation.

Step seven:

Choose the category that you want your presentation to be listed under. Find the one that is most applicable to the content of your presentation.

These steps have given you the basics of getting your presentation live to as many people as you have chosen. It will be worth you
