I am a reporter for a nationally syndicated real estate section published weekly in newspapers across the country. I’m looking to interview real estate agents and brokers, lenders, property attorneys, rental property professionals, and other housing experts for the following article, with a July 16 deadline:
CHALLENGES CONFRONTING THE NATIONAL HOUSING RECOVERY: The U.S. housing recovery should regain its footing, but also faces a number of challenges, concludes The State of the Nation’s Housing report released recently by the Joint Center for Housing Studies of Harvard University (found at
tinyurl.com/kun8xgh). Tight credit, still elevated unemployment, and mounting student loan debt among young Americans are moderating growth and keeping Millennials and other first-time homebuyers out of the market. This story will explore this study and the challenges it identifies. Below is a list of questions I’m seeking answers to for this story. Please e-mail me back your interest, availability and phone number. My deadline is noon central time, Wednesday, July 16.
1.
What are the key takeaways from the Joint Center study? What are the implications for prospective home buyers and sellers?
2.
What is holding back the national housing recovery? What is needed to kick it back into faster gear?
3.
How should buyers/sellers interpret this study data? Should it affect their decision to buy/sell a home in any way?
4.
Any other thoughts, tips, suggestions on this topic that I failed to ask about?
5.
What is your full name, title, company, and location where you are based?
