Hello. My name is Erik Martin and I'm working on a new story for The Costco Connection U.K. edition (the consumer magazine for members of Costco stores in the United Kingdom) on the following topic:
TENNIS 101: The benefits of learning and playing tennis. For this story, I’m looking to interview U.K. citizens who play tennis non-professionally, as well as U.K. sports medicine physicians. Living in the U.S. and lacking long distance service, I can only conduct email interviews in which you can type up responses to my questions below and email them to me). My deadline to complete all interviews is Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2015, by noon central time zone. Here are my interview questions:
QUESTIONS FOR A NON-PROFESSIONAL U.K. TENNIS PLAYER:
1. When and why did you start learning/playing tennis?
2. What were the factors that motivated you to do so?
3. Where do you take lessons and/or play?
4. What kind of equipment/apparel have you purchased?
5. What tips can you provide to readers as to how to get started and what equipment/instruction to invest in?
6. What is your name, age, city/state/country location, and are you a Costco member (not required to be included)?
QUESTIONS FOR A U.K. SPORTS PHYSICIAN:
1. What are the health/physical benefits of learning/playing tennis?
2. Who are the best candidates for starting/playing tennis (e.g., physically fit person within a certain age range)?
3. What kind of exercise guidelines/recommendations should tennis players follow (is there an organization whose guidelines you suggest following)?
4. What is your full name, degrees, title, organization, and U.K. city/state/country location? And are you a Costco member (not required)?
Sincerely,
Erik J. Martin
