We are looking for entrepreneurs or IT professionals to share stories of businesses who tried to set up their IT infrastructure on their own and failed because they didn’t know where to start. The stories could be from your perspective as a business owner or from the perspective of the IT pro who swooped in to help afterwards.

Please keep your response to no more than two paragraphs, telling your story while answering the following:

1-What does your business do?
2-What did you (or your customer) attempt to do yourself (themselves)?
3-Why did you decide to go it alone (or why did your customer decide to go it alone)?
4-What happened (ie, where did it go horribly wrong)?
5-What consequences did you (or the customer) suffer (lost time, expenses, etc.)
6-How did it get fixed?

Be sure to include your name, your company’s name and your company website as well.
