2. How much would purchasing power be diminished if rates went up a half percent, by comparison?
3. What is the likelihood that mortgage interest rates will increase in the next few months by 1%? By half a percent? What do you predict/expect—will rates increase, and if so, by how much before the end of the year? Why/why not?
4. Considering that some indicators show rates may creep up this year, is it smart to lock in a rate now, or take your chances and wait for the possibility that they could go down? What is your advice here?
5. Any other recommendations for these borrowers, or thoughts, tips or suggestions on this topic?
