Tony Vlahovic, entrepreneur in the sports and exercise therapy field, is also a former pro athlete with an MA in Psychology and is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. For 22 years he has developed programs for over 3500 patients/clients ranging from young athletes to the senior population. He has treated people with debilitating illnesses such as: MS, cancer, ALS, lymphedema, arthritis, Parkinson's, paraplegia,& quadriplegia by using a combination of exercise techniques and healing psychology.
His professional baseball career was shortened by an auto accident. He spent 1.5 years with a personal pursuit of learning to walk and then run again. As a result of this humbling experience, he has dedicated his post-baseball career to helping individuals in need.
Tony currently coaches high school varsity baseball, girls and boys junior high school basketball, CYO boys basketball, & teaches clinics for youths to develop strength and speed to improve performance in their current sports. In addition, he has trained several Special Olympic Athletes & he has also developed,& currently conducts, pitching clinics for juveniles ages 8 to 18 which focuses on total body pitching designed to reduce arm injuries. He is currently pursuing certification as a Lymphedema therapist to continue to expand his area of expertise in wellness & sports.
He is married with two children and resides in New Hope, Pennsylvania. He is a member of the Major League Baseball Alumni Assoc., The National Institute of Sports, The National Strength & Conditioning Assoc., The Bucks County Chamber of Commerce, The American Running & Fitness Assoc., The American College of Sports Medicine,& The United States Weightlifting Team Assoc.
