Ronald K. Stair, Ph.D., EA, ERPA is the Principal of Creative Plan Designs, Ltd., a CEFEX certified employee benefits consulting firm.
Dr. Stair has over thirty years experience in the actuarial and employee benefits consulting field. He is an alumnus of Hartwick College, The College of William and Mary, Massachusetts Institute of Technology and New York University with degrees in mathematics, bio-physics and taxation. Dr. Stair is a member of the National Institute of Pension Administrators, the American Society of Pension Professionals and Actuaries and the Conference of Consulting Actuaries.
It is a firm belief of Dr. Stair that in order to best serve his clients and remain a leader in the field of retirement planning, one must always be involved in their industry and continuing education. To that end, Dr. Stair has earned many additional professional designations some of which are ERPA (Enrolled Retirement Plan Agent, QPA (Qualified Pension Administrator) and QKA (Qualified 401(k) Administrator). Dr. Stair is a frequent local and national speaker on topics relative to retirement plans and other employee benefit programs. He has testified before the U. S. House of Representatives Ways and Means Committee on the pension industry. In 2000, he was a speaker at the National Women’s Small Business Summit, chaired by six U. S. Senators, discussing pension and retirement issues. Dr. Stair has addressed various dental societies throughout the U. S. during his career. His professional publishing credentials include, Contingencies, Employee Benefit Plan Review, Journal of Pension Benefits and Journal of Personal Finance.
Dr. Stair is certified to grant continuing education credits to Certified Public Accounts in New York, New Jersey and California, as well as to Certified Financial Planners and agents of the Internal Revenue Service.
Dr. Stair believes strongly in community service. Each of his employees is given one work day per month to donate his or her time to a charitable organization of their choice. Dr. Stair is Vice President of the Board of Directors for Hope for Youth, a child welfare agency serving New York families in Nassau and Suffolk counties. Dr. Stair also serves as judge for the Intel Science Fair.
