Karlyn Simone was born in Reno, Nevada and started writing when she was nine years old. One of her life's dreams was to write a book.

At the age of fourteen, she sat down and took nine months of her life (I guess most Moms can relate to that) ...and guess what happened next? A book was born!

Karlyn's first novel, Inked In: Shadows between darkness and light is full of vampires, love and intrigue.

Karlyn is currently a Biology major at Truckee Meadows Community College in Reno, NV. She plans to transfer to the University of Nevada, Reno after she gets her Associates Degree. She also plans to go to medical school to become an OBGYN.

Karlyn works for animal services in Reno. She has been there for a year and loves it.
