Dashama is a multi-faceted creative artist who is not only an internationally known yoga teacher, author and healthy lifestyle expert, but also a comedic actress, modern dance performer and film producer. Dashama plays the buoyant yoga teacher Shaye in four episodes of the comedic mini-series Yogaphiles. Born in the a small town in South Dakota, she attended Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, FL. Dashama's paternal family immigrated to NYC from London, England, to escape WWII. Their background is European descent with mixed French, Irish, Polish, Spanish and Native American heritage.

Dashama is the author of Journey to Joyful, creator of the Global 30 Day Yoga Challenge and Pranashama Yoga Institute. She is an innovator in the field of yoga, mind/body transformation and healing. Additionally, Dashama's audition video- to have her OWN show on the Oprah Winfrey Network- rose to the top 1% out of 20,000 candidates in Spring 2010. She has been featured with and speaks on expert panels at conferences with luminaries such as Louise Hay, Dr. Wayne Dyer, Stephen Covey, Byron Katie, David Wolfe, Dr. Gabriel Cousins, Dr. Brian Clement and Jason Mraz. In her early years working with Russell Simmons’ DefCon3, it was his work with inner city youth as well as her own life challenges that inspired Dashama's many philanthropic partnerships including Yoga for Foster Kids and Orphans, Clinton's Global Initiatives, Michelle Obama's Shape Up America campaigns, Bono's ONE campaign, Project Charity Water, as well as working with environmental causes such as Rainforest Alliance and Surfriders Foundation. Dashama resides in Los Angeles, CA. She travels frequently leading yoga teacher training retreats worldwide and is available for print, radio & TV interviews, as well as speaking & teaching engagements in the USA and internationally.
