Jeremy R. Stinson is Running for U.S. House Representative in Maryland’s 5th District
Jeremy Stinson, owner of The Stinson Group LLC, veteran of The Global War on Terror and founder of Independent Voters of Maryland, has announced his intent to run for U.S. House Representative in Maryland’s 5th District. He will be launching his campaign at 6:30 p.m. on April 2, 2012 at Calvary Baptist Church of Upper Marlboro, MD. Mr. Stinson will run on the ballot as an unaffiliated candidate in order to better represent the people, and not the party.
With over 10 years of experience as a public servant, Jeremy Stinson is dedicated to improving Maryland’s educational system, supporting skilled job growth, and advocating for tax reform. Having two school-aged children and being married to a Prince George’s County school administrator, Mr. Stinson is keenly aware of the issues Maryland’s children are facing in the public school system. Furthermore, Jeremy Stinson’s experience as both an employee for the public and private sector has impressed upon him the importance of staying relevant in today’s evolving job market. His experience as a financial counselor has given him the insights needed to balance a budget, even on a national scale.
Jeremy Stinson sees the failing state of our schools, the current unemployment rate, and the enormous task facing tax reform as motivations to run for office.
According to Mr. Stinson, "Education in Maryland’s 5th District is my top priority." He adds that "Equipping the people with the necessary skills to obtain jobs will be of the upmost importance and tax reform is necessary for our economy to recover."
Jeremy Stinson has also spoken out on the importance of fiscal responsibility, electoral reform, and bipartisanship.
