Cuy Sheffield is a student entrepreneur studying sociology at Pomona College in Claremont, California. He is the co-founder and CEO of Apps for Action, LLC which is a mobile application company that allows users to find free apps that fit their interests, while helping their favorite charities. His passion for entrepreneurship has led him to become an executive fellow of the Kairos Society which is a selective group of student entrepreneurs across the world. Cuy’s mission is to help spread entrepreneurship across the Pomona College campus and is a founder and board member of Pomona Ventures which combines an alumni venture capital fund and student run accelerator to help incubate the ideas of Pomona students into successful companies. He is also a founding member of Building Leaders on Campus which is a student organization committed to helping men of color build leadership skills while encouraging a deep commitment to community service. Cuy has experience working in product management and business development at Intelius, INC.
