Paul Edwards is the author of "How to Rap: The Art & Science of the Hip-Hop MC" (2009) published in the USA by Chicago Review Press and in the UK and Australia by Random House. It has also been translated into Japanese and Korean.
He interviewed over 100 rappers for the book, including Cypress Hill, will.i.am of the Black Eyed Peas, Nelly, Public Enemy, A Tribe Called Quest, Royce da 5'9", and Mobb Deep.
Paul Edwards is regarded as a leading expert on hip-hop and rap, and has been referred to as "the Aristotle of Hip-Hop poetics" by internationally acclaimed and award-winning poet Dana Gioia.
