Journalist, fiction writer and poet Robert Joe Stout’s most recent book is Running Out the Hurt, a novel set in Mexico. He also has published the nonfiction Why Immigrants Come to America: Braceros, Indocumentados and the Migra published by Praeger and the creative nonfiction Blood of the Serpent: Mexican Lives, the novel Miss Sally and five chapbooks of poetry. His work recently has appeared in The American Scholar, South Pacific Review and The Monthly Review, among many other magazines. He currently lives in Oaxaca, Mexico.
