Since my oldest son was diagnosed with asthma I educated my family on healthier eco friendly choices with respect to household cleaners, personal care products and foods. Joining a company like Syntek Global that values environmentalism and promotes only “green” products was a natural fit. So in addition to patronizing eco-friendly products and living in a walkable community I can now reduce emissions by at least one third by using Syntek’s, Xtreme Fuel Treatment. My goal is to share this xtreme product with local municipalities, businesses and non-profits so they can not only save costs to provide additional much needed services but most importantly to reduce their carbon footprint. Originally from Buffalo, NY. I began my career with various volunteer leadership and consultant roles with non- profit organizations. My first position after college was with the Buffalo Council on World Affairs. It was at that time that I started my business DanaBASE to assist nonprofit organizations with managing their information. While in graduate school, I volunteered with Journey’s End Resettlement Services and wrote my thesis on Culture Shock and Refugee Resettlement.

I relocated to Atlanta, in 1995 to manage the National Olympic Committee accreditation process for the Atlanta Committee for the Olympic Games. Shortly after the Olympics, I joined the Carter Center’s Health Programs. As Senior Business Manager I was responsible for the overall administrative support of the program’s Headquarters office and served as the liaison between the headquarter offices and its eleven international field offices on administrative matters.
After my time at the Carter Center in 2003, I served as HealthSTAT’s first Executive Director, where I helped propel HealthSTAT into a mature, effective and well respected non profit. As a consultant to Context Journal, I help to ensure the success of the nation’s first online, peer-reviewed journal that highlights the exceptional work of health students in the community. I returned to the Carter Center in 2009 as a consultant to the Guinea Worm Eradication Program.
In 1998, I was honored as an Outstanding Young Atlantan, in 1999 I was featured as a RO Awardee by Rolling Out magazine and as one of Dossier magazine’s twenty-nine Rising Stars of the New South. A former Treasurer of Hands on Atlanta and Board member of The Atlanta Children’s Shelter, I focus my current volunteer efforts with ministries at my church North Avenue Presbyterian Church.
I graduated from Johns Hopkins University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations (1992). I hold a Master’s Degree in Anthropology from the State University of New York at Buffalo (1995) and received a Masters in Public Health degree in International Health, with a Community Health concentration from the Emory University Rollins School of Public Health (2003).
