Catherine Wyatt-Morley is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Women On Maintaining Education and Nutrition. Celebrating twenty-one years of service, W.O.M.E.N. is the only organization found, organized, and administered by an African American, three time internationally acclaimed author, and mother living with AIDS in the south. Wyatt-Morley’s authorship includes AIDS Memoir Journal of an HIV Positive Mother, Positive People Combating HIV/AIDS and My Life With AIDS Tragedy to Triumph. Also, in 1994 Wyatt-Morley established Women On Reason To Heal (W.O.R.T.H.), the first and what has become the oldest HIV-positive women support group in Middle TN.
The recipient of numerous awards and honors, Wyatt-Morley was inducted into the Women’s National Hall of Fame, and has received the prestigious SELF Magazine Women Doing Good Award, the Top Ladies of Distinction’s Community Service Award, Bank of America’s Local Heroes Award, the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority’s Leadership Award, the YWCA’s Breakfast of Champions Award and was nominated for the Nashville Business Journal’s Women of Influence Award, and Nashville CABLE’s Athena Award.
She has appeared on countless media outlets nationwide including SELF Magazine, The TODAY Show, A&U Magazine, POZ Magazine, CNN, Voices of America, MSNBC, Talk America Radio, FX Radio, SiriusXM Satellite Radio, The Palm Beach Post, The Indianapolis Indiana Recorder, The Los Angeles Times, The Canadian Sun, The Nashville Scene, and the Tennessean. In addition, Wyatt-Morley has presented at many universities, medical clinics, hospitals, women’s groups, conferences, churches, political forums, high schools, public and private businesses and youth facilities. A Distinguished Faculty Member of Bristol-Myers Squibb Pharmaceutical Company’s Speakers Bureau, she is a highly sought after orator.
With steadfast tenacity and an unyielding commitment to quality, Catherine has provided both her mentees and community stakeholders with critical insight into women’s health policy and program development. As a humanitarian business professional, she believes that she has an obligation to mentor, empower, and encourage women to use their talents and follow their dreams personally and professionally. As a catalyst for positive change in women’s health, economic, social, and cultural development Wyatt-Morley has touched millions of lives locally and internationally by working with decision makers to craft effective policies. She has traveled to spread her positive message to such countries as Switzerland, Nigeria, Ghana, Thailand, Poland, Canada, Trinidad, Guyana, China, and Kenya. With an empowerment force, she has become a model of hope for women facing catastrophic circumstance. Wyatt-Morley’s life exemplifies service. Catherine has an infectious spirit, inspiring women to move beyond adversity. She generously and honestly shares her life’s perspective with grace and boldness. In more than two decades living with HIV, now AIDS, Catherine has raised her children and developed a seasoned nonprofit while demonstrating a life with purpose. Driven by service, she strongly believes that your career is what you’re paid for; your calling is what you’re made for. She was made for such a time as this!
