I'm an author of eight published novels, including a five-book historical fictions series set against the backdrop of the War of 1812. It also illustrates how this young America and her first generation of American citizens shaped the formation of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

My most recent novel is "The Dragons of Alsace Farm," which illustrates the effects of dementia, pro and con, on loved ones and entire families. I have personal experience on this topic--the fear of the genetic link, the importance of having the hard conversations with parents about wishes and plans, what to expect as the disorder progresses, and how to handle the changes in your loved one.
