Trish Hegarty is a "Survivor" Straight Talk Speaker who encourages young people to thrive, not just survive, by teaching them how to turn setbacks into success. She talks with pre-teens and teens about attitude, gratitude and grit and why developing resilience leads to positive growth in the face of challenges big or small.

Trish is known best for being a finalist from the Brawn Tribe on CBS' hit reality show "Survivor Cayagan". However, her experience with survival started long before making it to day 36 of 39 on Survivor. Throughout her life, Trish has faced many challenges that today's youth experience. Through her own grit and determination, she has become a model of resilience; overcoming challenges that include learning disabilities, bulimia, addiction, anxiety and loss. Her resilience not only got her to Cayagan after getting passed over several previous seasons; it has fueled her to earn a bachelor's degree in early childhood education, compete in marathons in triathlons, open one of the first Pilates studios on Cape Cod more than 20 years ago, coach soccer, become a certified life coach and raise two daughters as a single mom. Trish has appeared in CBS News, Hollywood Reporter, Entertainment Weekly, People Magazine, TV Guide, USA Today, Boston Globe, Cape Cod Times, Needham Times and WBZ-TV.

Today, Trish shares her trials and triumphs with young people in middle schools, high schools and youth organizations across the nation so they too can rock their resilience and turn setbacks into success.
