Mark Pavlyukovskyy is best known as the founder & inventor of the Piper Computer Kit, a DIY computer that kids ages 7-12 can build and program themselves. In the short time since founding the company, Piper has been selected for Dr. Toy's 2017 Top Tech Toys, 2018 Toy of the Year, ITSE's 2019 Best of Show Award, and Amazon's Top Picks in STEM Education. Piper has also been showcased at Maker Faire, PepCom, the Tech Museum, and the Computer History Museum. Mark is Princeton Alumni Entrepreneurs Fund (AEF)'s inaugural Entrepreneur of the Year, a startup advisor, and speaks publicly on a regular basis.
In 2019, he co-founded CreativityBox.org with Dr. Mihran Vardanyan and Daria Zhao, a benefit corporation focused on making robotics & AI education accessible to children of all ages. Their first product, Learn With Mochi, launched in Oct. of 2019.
Prior to Piper, Mark was a Doctoral Fellow at Oxford. He has been the recipient of various awards including: The Oxford-Cambridge PhD Scholarship from the National Institutes of Health (NIH), The Maclean Award for Best Oration, The Priscilla Glickman Memorial Prize for Service, Ashoka's Banking on Youth Challenge, The Adel Mahmoud Global Health Scholarship, The Google ESD Scholarship, a Thiel Fellowship Finalist, and Forbes 30 Under 30.
He envisions a world in which anyone, anywhere in the world, feels empowered to become a maker, creator, and shaper of the technologies we use everyday.
