Idara Otu is an advocate for young women and girls, teaching them to propel to success with the resources they have. Idara has spent over 10 years on Wall Street in various Capital Markets roles at major Investment Banks. She is also an Olympian, having competed for her native country as a member of the Nigerian 4x400-meter relay team in the 2012 London Summer Olympic Games.
Idara has served in many leadership positions in academic, professional, athletic and community spaces, and most recently works to drive the vision and programmatic objectives of the Let Girls Read, Run, Grow (LGRRG), charity that she founded. As Founder, Idara works alongside LGRRG’s leadership and partners to help create opportunities for young girls to build better futures for themselves, their families, and their communities. Pulling from her corporate experiences and professional athletic experience, Idara is a tireless advocate for feeding both the mind and body through education and sport. A two-time All-American at her alma mater Stanford University, Idara draws upon her student-athlete experience as a focal point to many of her later life successes.
Idara holds Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees from Stanford University. Idara currently works at Barclays and has previously worked at JP Morgan and Goldman Sachs. She is a member of the Society of Fellows at the Aspen Institute, and 2020 WOMEN in America. She resides in New York City, New York.
