Rachael Donalds MPA, MS is founder and CEO of Biosay, Inc. (https://biosay.com/). The culmination of a personal and professional journey, Biosay has been developed to empower people and communities to crowdsource wellness. With a long-held interest in the factors and strategies that contribute to individual and community health and wellness, Rachael’s professional career began at Brown University where she developed research design and evaluation of behavioural interventions for her BA in Psychology and Master in Public Affairs. Taking a post as Director of Operations and Assistant Director of Admissions for a psychiatric residential treatment program in the greater Boston area enabled her to apply research insights and develop her interest in public health interventions and strategies. Subsequent to graduating from Harvard School of Public Health, Rachael designed Biosay as a mobile public health intervention to reduce stress through increasing awareness of how our environments impact our well-being. Biosay was accepted to the Harvard Venture Incubation Program at the Harvard Innovation Lab, and to the competitive Harvard Launch Lab.
In addition to developing and launching Biosay, Rachael is currently completing her Ph.D. at Boston University, and is a clinical psychology resident at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and holds an appointment as a clinical fellow at Harvard Medical School. She serves on the Editorial Board for the Harvard Public Health Review.
A vocal champion of the opportunities offered by considered e-health intervention that harness big data, she has spoken on the relevance of Digital Determinants of Health at TEDx and published articles ranging from the use of stem cell lines in the treatment of anxiety and depression to applying the biopsychosocial model in the assessment of resilience and the remission of chronic illness.
