I am a globally minded social entrepreneur with over 25 years experience in the field where people and organizations cohabit: WORK. I am driven by making a change. By enabling people to fulfil their potential. To become all they can be. I believe that work can and should be a vehicle through which people achieve their full potential and expression. However, workplaces are generally not equipped to manage and engage people in the digital era, relying instead in the main on industrial-era assumptions, mindsets and tools. I stand for wellbeing and happiness for all, in a stress-free world. Researching it since 1995.
Connecting the dots backwards, my work has always focused around people and their potential, from learning the basics of recruitment out of school, to leading the growth of the HR function in the Inditex Group culminating in being made responsible for the Northern Region and some 53 stores aged 26. This was followed by a period in retail to ground strategy in shop-floor reality for Christian Dior in London. I then returned to Spain to lead Great Place to Work dedicated to finding, understanding and promoting the best workplaces in the country where I lead the business to a x25 revenue growth over 4 years. In 2009
I stepped out alone to transition from being an intra- to an entrepreneur, launching the business that was to become Grooooow. In 2017 Grooooow is in its 9th year, having launched in 2008 at the start of the global economic crisis, it has grown every year. In 2012 I published a white book with the Bertelsmann Foundation, Diversity Management. In 2019 I lead the cultural transformation of one of the most important university in the world: Tecnologico de Monterrey as a VP of Talent, Wellbeing and Purpose. I frequently speak in the media concerning workplace entrepreneurialism, diversity and potential. My work which has impacted some 500 brands across 1 million employee touch points.
I am an Organizational Psychologist, Gestalt Therapist, Executive Conscious Business Coach, I hold an Executive MBA Hult International Business School and in working towards my PhD in my spare time.
I see the world as increasingly connected while at the same time facing increasing pressures over diversity, identity and culture. I believe organizations have become the principle social bodies and thus require a more socially oriented focus alongside the necessary business metrics. While we share one world. We do so in an increasingly uneven way. I believe the prolonged financial crisis since 2008, the pandemic and the new reality is part of a shift, a new paradigm in how the world as a community will collaborate in the coming years. .
I have lived and worked in Spain, the UK, the US and Mexico as well as deploying projects in Australia, Argentina, Colombia, Brazil, Chile and Japan. I am a fluent Spanish, English and Catalan speaker. I was recognize as one of the Top100 Women Leaders in Spain in 2018 and Tec Women - Transformation Power in 2020.
Lastly, but not least importantly, as well as being a social entrepreneur, I am a mother of two boys Timothy and Harley, married to my business partner Daniel. I am Tri-lingual (Spanish, English, Catalan), a fan of Feng Shui, and a leisure runner having represented Catalonia as a 1.000m runner as a teenager.
