Tracy M. Smith offers over 25 years of public relations and marketing communications experience.
Tracy’s past experience as a Consumer Marketing and Media Relations Specialist includes award-winning work for McDonald’s, The Idaho Potato Commission, Ready Pac Produce, Nummy Nums Gourmet Baby Food, Star Olive Oil and Butter Bell Kitchenware.
For The Great Big Idaho Potato Truck tour, a program sponsored by The Idaho Potato Commission, Tracy shared the giant potato’s location with fans and the media in each market visited, as well as its mission to raise funds for the Meals On Wheels organization.
While working with McDonald’s Tracy promoted McDonald’s Feeding Healthy Families initiative and shared McDonald’s nutritional information with parents, teachers and others through community events. In addition she supervised and implemented McDonald’s Go Active American Challenge with Bob Greene, a program designed to get folks moving and understanding the food-fitness connection.
For Star Olive Oil she implemented a nationwide “Flavors of the Mediterranean” recipe contest where participants had the opportunity to win an all-expense paid culinary adventure to Catalonia Spain.
Her accomplishments for clients range from promoting consumer products, health and wellness and non-profit organizations to travel and tourism, medical devices and food. Tracy has worked with Fortune 500 companies, start-ups and agencies to create and implement successful campaigns that accomplish their goals.
She has supervised crisis communications plans for numerous brands and media trained a number of high level executives.
Tracy graduated from Michigan State University. She has been an integral contributor to many programs that have won numerous public relations and marketing industry awards.
