I am a counseling and sport psychologist who obtained my doctorate degree from Purdue University in Counseling Psychology. I am currently in private practice in Denver, CO. I work primarily with issues of grief/loss, eating disorders, trauma, life transitions/identity development, perfectionism, anxiety/depressive disorders, and performance psychology.

I can bring value to a conversation by being genuine and thought-provoking. I like to ask challenging questions and encourage introspection and deep reflection. I strive to piece together multilayered and conplex themes to help people better understand themselves, others, and the problems we face within what it means to be a human. I encourage people to be uncomfortable and to lean into what scares them, and to face the duality of life, accepting both good and bad at the same time. I also particuarly enjoy to educate and consult in a way that can help others gain perspective and approach a topic in a new way, challenging their minds to stretch, to consider they may be wrong about something, and to identify when you must "be" and when you must "do."

I've written my first book on grief/loss, set to come out in early 2024. I am passionate about the power of storytelling and wanted to bring light to the incredibly nuanced and individualized ways we process and cope with grief. Like everyone else, I've had my fair share of losses and decided that taking the risk to be vulnerable may encourage others to redefine their relationships with grief to live more holistic and intentional lives. I hope my limited collection of stories can build the realization that there is no “right” way to grieve, and that it should not be pathologized or medicated.

I've worked in the mental health field since 2011 and has experience in in-patient facilities, intensive outpatient substance abuse programs, university counseling centers, residential treatment facilities for at-risk youth, alternative high schools, home-based therapy services, general outpatient services, community mental health facilities, eating disorder facilities, and collegiate athletic settings. I've worked with people in all stages of life from ages 5 to 85. I'm passionate about normalizing mental health in athletic populations and helping athletes become their best selves in and out of their sport. I'm equally passionate about issues of intersectionality, equity, and inclusion and supports social justice initiatives to further awareness and access to services across all social identities.

I am dedicated to helping individuals, teams, and organizations build awareness of self, others, and the world to reach their full potential in and out of their craft. I seek to educate, consult, and provide services that are evidenced-based and collaborative. I work primarily with athletes, performers, and high-achievers to help them find balance in their pursuit of success and acceptance of their own humanity. I currently serve as the psychologist for the Colorado Ballet, University of Denver Women's Basketball Team, Wilhelmina Denver, Stroll Hilltop, and I consult with the Portland Thorns. I also work with several USOPC, professional, and collegiate athletes affiliated with a variety of teams, organizations, and across all sports.

I am PSYPACT ceritifed psychologist and a member of the APA, APA Division of Exercise and Sport Psychology, Clinical/Counseling Sport Psychology Association and also serve on the USOPC Mental Health Registry and Dansend Advisory Board. I am also an executive contributor who writes monthly articles on mental health and sport psychology for Brainz Magazine.
