Marcia Stein owns a Human Resources Consulting practice and is a professional speaker. Her interest in interviewing people, learning life stories and sharing information and resources led her to write her books.

Ms. Stein's experience as a parent provided the inspiration for writing about parenting difficult teens, and "Strained Relations: Help for Struggling Parents of Troubled Teens" comes from her heart. "I'd like parents to know they're not alone, that there are resources and you can learn how to cope with the situation." A skilled recruiter, Marcia wanted to provide vocational information for those considering the field. She interviewed top Silicon Valley recruiters about their career paths, tips for new recruiters and job seekers, and compiled this information into her book, "Recruiters on Recruiting".

She is the founder and organizer of the Silicon Valley Women in Human Resources...and Friends group, a networking, mentoring and educational group for professional women with over 1,500 members. Marcia has been recognized by the HR Symposium with the Partners in Innovation Award. She is on the Advisory Committee for Evergreen Valley College (Business and Workforce Development).

Marcia earned her BS from Virginia Commonwealth University and her Professional Human Resources designation from the HRCI.
