I started Peace Spa Products to help me change the world. The beauty industry is filled with female consumers and the reason in 2008 I got into spa product development - to fulfill a social responsibility mission to own a company where women can be empowered by their buying power to change the world.
Peace Spa Products is a natural botanic line sold into spas, resorts and to independent estheticians as well as sold at retail at health food and specialty stores. We are priced 10 - 15 % below our competitors and 10% goes to help support the missions of our charity.
For 10 years (2000) I have run a charity with a mission to let American students become Ambassadors for the spirit of America through cultural trips that result in tangible help to others, including building computer labs, art initiatives, growing gardens and so much more. (www.peacejourney.com)
Our current project www.ECOChallenge2020.org continues the PeaceJourney.com work, and adds a powerful challenge to grow edible gardens in urban schools and change the way underserved students are being fed in schools in America. Our current program partners a 5th grade class in Chicago with an all girls boarding school in rural India where we are growing an edible garden and share learn and share how-to best practices with our partner in India, with the support of doctors organizations, college students, nutritionists, organic farmers, and new technology gurus.
I am a Telly Award Documentary Winner, photographer, mother of 2 grown kids, 4 grandchildren, play tennis, have traveled the world and strive to leave a better legacy to stop the millions of children dying of malnutrition and hunger every single year. The United Nations Millennium goals, established to be fulfilled in 2010 have been revised to hopefully be accomplished in 2015. I have media training; enjoy being interviewed and telling the story of possibilities! The more we can share our story, the better chance we have to get great partners, sponsors, donations and foundation grants and volunteers to grow our work.
