Surprise Industries is the brain toddler of three young, female entrepreneurs with a passion for positive risk taking, lifelong learning, and full throttle living. Since the idea's conception in June 2008, the founders have turned their lives upside down to help it grow to its full potential. Now, six months into its official existence and over 300 surprises later, Surprise Industries is well on its way to surprising the whole world and changing the way people see experiences.

Tania Luna (24) came to the U.S. from Ukraine when she was 6 years old and has lived in New York ever since. She never could decide what she wanted to be when she grew up, so she decided to do a little of a lot. She's been a college instructor, organizational development manager, video journalist, psychology research assistant, and everything in between, and she quit two jobs to focus on Surprise Industries full time. Her great passions are start-up adventures, fiction writing, and her brand new husband.

Kat Dudina (29) moved to New York from Ukraine when she was 12 years old, but she only has an accent when she's angry. She can chat with you in 5 different languages, and despite her belief that she doesn't like traveling, she's visited 8 countries and almost all the U.S. states. She's been an American Sign Language interpreter for over 10 years, and she recently founded an interpreting agency. When she's not running her two businesses, she's rescuing shelter dogs and spending time with her lovely wife and their rambunctious pup.

Maya Gilbert (21) is a native Brooklynite with a passion for uncovering the best of Brooklyn. She took a leave of absence from college to work on Surprise Industries full-time and hasn't regretted it for a second. She regularly constructs projects within her life to gain exposure to novel experiences such as learning to eat fire, living on only raw food for two months, and avoiding mirrors for three months. She has traversed fields varying from summer camps and knife selling to brain scanning and the study of orgasm.
