I have been writing about organic, sustainable agriculture, community development, and the rise of agraianism since the 1970s.

I am the co-author of "Farms of Tomorrow" (1990) the first book about community supported agriculture (CSA). and also "Farms of Tomorrow Revisited" (1998) the second book on this theme.

In 2009, I authored "The Call of the Land: An Agrarian Primer for the 21st Century."
