I spent twenty years on Wall Street as a trader and salesperson, then retired to raise my three daughters. After an unexpected divorce, I re-entered the workforce and joined a nonprofit credit counseling agency. For two years I counseled thousands of clients, most of whom were women in serious financial trouble from divorce or death of a spouse because they had no clue how to manage their own finances. A co-counselor and I wrote a book "Women Empowering Themselves: A Financial Survival Guide" to help rectify this situation and provide a basic financial education resource for women. I became an Accredited Financial Counselor and have been giving workshops on Financial Education and Survival Training to local community and nonprofit groups.
