Stitch Above The Rest is a full service window treatment design and fabrication studio serving the Metro Atlanta area and beyond for more than 5 years. Stitch Above The Rest was created by Elizabeth Gerdes, a Marietta, Georgia, stay-at-home mom of three that wanted to provide something more for her children. Having learned how to sew from her mother, Elizabeth took sewing to the next level by opening her own business in 2003. In 2007 Elizabeth attended the Custom Home Furnishings Academy (CHF), in Charlotte, NC, where she received her certification as a Career Professional in Window Treatment Fabrication and Workroom Techniques.

From start to finish, her services are designed to meet the needs of her clients. She begins with an in-home design consultation to help you select the perfect style for your project. Visualizing your design is easy with the help of her computer rendering capabilities. Some of her products include custom designed and fabricated window treatments, bedding, cushions, and more. Using her specialized industry skills, Elizabeth can take your ideas and plans and create a customized reality for your home or office. Professional fabrication methods are used in the creation of all custom home furnishings, along with good communication and attention to detail. All of which will ensure that the end product exceeds your expectations.

At Stitch Above the Rest, all customers are welcome. From designers to retail clients, Elizabeth has the know-how to create something for everyone. The elegant fabric, trim and hardware lines she offers give her clients high quality choices and a great selection without having to leave home. She also uses premium linings to produce a flawless, more luxurious look that only custom treatments can provide. Although Stitch Above The Rest is experienced in creating a wide range of home furnishings, Elizabeth takes pride in creating beautiful childrens rooms, nurseries, and offering additional specialties such as embroidery.
