I have two masters' degrees, one in religion and the other in social work. I have been a practicing psychotherapist for over thirty years, specializing in the treatment of children and individual adults in my private practice. My clinical focus centers on helping clients navigate mood disorders, grief, relationship challenges, life transitions, stress, and parenting.
I hold a B.A. in Religion from Princeton University graduating magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa. I continued my studies, earning an M.A. from the University of Chicago Divinity School, focusing on the intersection between religion and psychology. In my desire to work in a less theoretical, more relational realm, I pursued her M.A. from the University of Chicago School of Social Service Administration. My intellectual and emotional curiosity has shaped not only my education but also my personal and professional journey.
With the strong belief that many have lost the connection between mind and body, I obtained my certifications in Yoga for the Special Child® and Radiant Child Yoga,® merging my decades-long passion for yoga and working with children of all ability levels. Although I no longer teach yoga in a studio setting, I maintain my own practice and frequently uses yoga techniques in my work with clients of all ages. In 2017, I received my certificate in wellness coaching from The Institute for Integrative Nutrition, further expanding my interest in the connection between mental health and holistic wellness.
I am well versed in grief theory and how to navigate complex, compound losses. I live in Evanston, Illinois.
