Motivational Monday

Welcome to Motivational Monday! Last week I had the wonderful privilege of speaking for the Go Red For Women/ Healthy Woman Luncheon in Bentonville, Arkanas. It was incredible that over 1,000 women attended the event and learned more about healthy choices. I also had an amazing event with the Donelson-Hermitage Chamber of Commerce Women in Business Luncheon. I want to welcome all of you to Motivational Monday.

So many of you requested my schedule and we will be getting that emailed out to you this week. Thanks for your interest in my work!

As you all know, I believe in setting goals and dreams. I believe in persistence and staying the course. However, I also believe there are times we simply need to let go. Are there situations, ideas, habits, negative attitudes or people that you simply need to let go of ? Many times letting go is hard because we feel like it is giving up. But, I do believe there are times we need to let go of things that are not working so we can create the space, the time and energy for things that are more empowering for our lives.

Letting go is never easy, especially when you have invested time and energy in something. But, if you know in your heart it's time to let go, then realize that letting go is not giving up. It's just making space for more empowering thoughts and giving yourself the opportunity to move in a new direction.

We have all experienced painful situations in our lives at some point. It's very normal to constantly replay that situation. However, if we want to move forward and heal we have to release those thoughts. There may be someone in your life that you continue to try and help but they are not responding, maybe it's time to let go.

Researchers believe that that if you hold on to negative feelings, sad emotions or depressing memories there is a possibility that you could reshape the human cell to the point where your thoughts of the past have a negative effect on your cells and your physical health.

Take some time and think about the things that you need to release.

You may have read this before but it's worth reading again if there are things or people in your life you are struggling with releasing.

Letting Go
Author Unknown

To Let Go is not to deny, but to accept.

To Let Go is not to cut myself off, it is the realization I can't control another or a situation.

To Let Go is not to enable, but to allow learning from natural consequences.

To Let Go is not to try to change or blame another, it is to make the most of myself.

To Let Go does not mean to stop caring, it means I can't do it for someone else.

To Let Go is not to care for, but to care about.

To Let Go is not to fix, but to be supportive.

To Let Go is not to judge, but to allow another to be a human being.

To Let Go is not to be in the middle arranging all the outcomes, but to allow others to affect their destinies.

To Let Go is not to be protective, it is to permit another to face reality.

To Let Go is not to nag, scold, or argue, but instead to search out my own shortcomings and correct them.

To Let Go is not to adjust everything to my desires, but to take each day as it comes, and cherish myself in it.

To Let Go is not to criticize and regulate anybody, but to try to become what I dream I can be.

To Let Go is not to regret the past, but to grow and live for the future.

To Let Go is to fear less, and love more.
