In the market today, Authority Marketing is built from the bottom up and that means it is important to think about where your grsss root support comes from-namely social media.



How to Use Social Media To Build Authority



Social networks provide connections to millions of people through contacts, sharing tools, and groups. They are the perfect place to begin building your authority profile and image and the social platform allows you to create groups and areas for interaction and comments which are vital to sparking interest, building relationships and engaging your target customers.



To build Authority Using Social Media you will need several things: to start a movement. The first thing is to identify your Compelling Cause or Brand. Obviously you will need a computer with internet access and a printer. You will also need a website for potential customers to visit full of helpful, relevant information, articles, blog, reviews and links to your social network page and other interesting industry organizations. Once you have all the basics in place its time to set up your social profile.

Decide which social media site you want to use for your authority marketing movement. Choose the social network where you have the most contacts. Use tools that search your connections in order to expand your network of contacts.



In your personal profile focus on positions you hold, educational background and work experience that adds credibility to your desired status as an authority.



Put together a great story for why people should support your brand. Explain what you are passionate about and develop clear messages around your passion that people can get excited about and share. Make sure every message you create clearly articulates your brand story.



Make sure you choose a catchy, easy to remember name for your brand and a tagline or motto that is easily understood in different languages. Having a visually interesting and memorable logo is also important to help with brand recognition.



Once your profile is complete create a group with its own social media page. The group page should include pictures, videos, fun or crazy quotes and an area for interaction with your group followers where they can comment and discuss things you post.



Don’t forget to play into people’s emotions. A valid emotional hook can really pique interest in your campaign or brand. Always include a link to your webpage from your social media profile page and the group page.



It is really important to include as many social and professional circles as possible in your group. Then invite your contacts to join the group. Always encourage discussion and debate. Make sure you keep posting fresh content to keep the chatter going. Consistency is crucial to building a following and getting your information shared within and beyond the social media site.
