A Groupon-like Marketplace for Marketers, Authors and Small Business Owners?

The opening of the Daily Gangster may change the way marketers, entrepreneurs, authors and small businesses shop; much in the way prohibition changed the way people bought booze. In fact, if you're a business owner, social media consultant or marketer, you may want to pour a tall Bloody Mary and cheer-on such a concept.

The Daily Gangster, a new daily deals site offers customers a unique legal-bootlegging style platform to shop for the marketing, social media and mobile programs. Just the type stuff every entrepreneur is already buying at sometimes prohibitive retail prices. We're talking about deeply discounted how-to training programs, marketing tools, software, books, webinars and live events. We're talking 50 to 90% off known brands, New York Times bestselling authors, respected experts and high quality programs.

How do they do it? The Daily Gangster platform is the creation of co-founder Dan Hollings, the marketing strategist behind the mega-million dollar viral and social media phenomena known as "The Secret" which amazed everyone (including Oprah) a few years ago. A guy known not only for significant marketing savvy, but also for his ability to spot an opportunity and connect the dots; shall we say, much as did Al Capone.

Recognizing the popularity of daily deal sites like Groupon and Woot, the Daily Gangster leveraged these concepts with added additional flares of social media, gamification and virtual cash. But as Mr Hollings explained, "the twist that makes this site so unique is the tongue-in-cheek gangster theme that would make James Cagney, Humphrey Bogart or even Al Capone proud. A risky strategy? Yes. Fun? And then some!"

Deals are called "Heists" and they typically run for 24 hours. If a deal gets enough gangster members to buy-in, it is unlocked and you make away with the goods. All deals are guaranteed to be, as the Daily Gangster tagline says, "sooo good, you'll feel like you stole them."

Though most heists will be very specifically focused on marketing programs, tools and events for business, there will be a monthly "Gangsters for Charity" day where 100% of all proceeds are donated to charity. On this special day, almost any product might be featured as the heist of the day.

It's an offer you can't refuse,
