I am Genny Jones The Confidence Queen and I have helped many children as well as adults with confidence issues as well as bringing a lot of fun and laughter into my workshops.

After my divorce seven yeas ago, at around the same time, I was made redundant, my house was due to be repossessed, I had two toddlers to look after and I had a lot of debts, and my self esteem was at an all time low as I let the words of an individual drag me down to unhappiness and depression.

I found strength and courage to turn everything around with the help of family and friends as well as various organisations.

Today, I am successful business woman with two loving children who has also set up a support group for single parents, as well as the happiness project.

“Working hard to believe in herself and despite a very bumpy road she worked on building her confidence – something that many adults as well as children lack in.” Karin

As Confidence Queen, I have gone on to develop various interactive talks for schools as well as organisations including Kent Police and Kent County Council.

I have developed a fun and affordable ‘Gift of Confidence Box’ helping children and adults alike with information and ideas.

“Lacking in confidence can mean that you close doors on yourself. Adults as well as children worry about what others think of them and focus on the negative. The trick is to focus on the positive aspects and to also realise that other people are too busy to even think of you – they too are thinking of their own issues!”

I have seen positive changes with the school children I have worked with and my aims is that that my school visit and interactive talk will be one that stays with the students until adulthood.

Parent Olivia John says;

“I can truly say that the Confident Children programme was an answer to prayers. As a mother of three (8, 6 and 3) I am acutely conscious of the importance of confidence in a child. Growing in such a diverse and competitive society a child needs to stand up for themselves and not let the opinions of others guide their decisions.”
The Confident Children initiative is a positive example of what can be done in order to entertain children while teaching them key life skills. They learn respect: for themselves as well as for others.

How Confident Queen Helped Joe Aged 9

In Genny’s words:

“Joe is aged 9 and he had been stressed out because of his forth coming diving exam. He explained to me that whilst he was waiting to do his dive, he remembered some of things I had taught him at the confident children’s club.

He started to sing some of the words of the confident child song “ Confident child is who I am, I’m confident, everyday I fell confident.”

He said he then closed his eyes for one minute and could see the words on the T-shirt he had made with the slogan " Be a confident child like me” and he then imagined that he did the best dive ever!

When he opened his eyes, he took a deep breath and said to himself, "I am going to do this dive because I am Confident”. He took the dive and fell with a big splash into the pool, when he came up he could hear everyone cheering for him. He felt so good, and was very happy later on when he found out he had passed his diving exams!”

Sheri Adegbesan Chair, Life Changers Awards
I first met Confidence Queen Genny approx 3 years ago when she approached Council for Voluntary Service North West Kent (CVSNWK) to provide some of her Training Services in Confidence Building, Life Coaching and Assertiveness.
I was inspired by her confidence and self esteem, she was a positive, happy individual whose skills were transferred onto others. Since then she has developed the Confident Children Club where young people are taught confidence, etiquette and self esteem. The classes are always very entertaining.
