WHY OUTPUTS ARE ABSOLUTELY MORE IMPORTANT THAN TIME.

The desire to work smarter, faster and be more productive is embedded deep within body, mind, and spirit of every being on this planet.
Great productivity and success just don’t just happen overnight. Instead, they require consistent, committed effort to make it happen. Successful people achieve productivity through motivation, determination and perseverance – which means that you’ve got to find a way to maintain your passion over the long-run.
The one habit I am glad I broke is that I decided to manage my energy and my creativity rather than managing my time.

Let’s pause here for just a moment:

Do you think that most people try to be more productive by better managing their time?
Is it true that if I manage my time better, I will get more done or be more productive during my day? The flip side actually holds the real key.
I came to terms with the fact that trying to manage my time was making me frustrated and anxious. The more I tried to manage my time the more frustrated I became even though I was using every time management technique under the sun.

I realized time management might not be the right avenue to prime myself for optimal performance. I asked myself constantly, am I motivated and energized enough to use the time that is available to me?
I was reminded of the words by a top performer;

“All fixed set patterns are incapable of adaptability or pliability. The truth is outside of all fixed patterns.” – Bruce Lee

Suddenly the answer came to me. What if I move the pieces around to use my energy to the best of my ability to achieve maximum output? What if I channel all my energy and focus on a specific task and am just a little bit smarter with all the things I want to do?

The simple truth is this.
If there's one thing entrepreneurs and other professionals want to do, it's to accomplish goals while continuing to grow and improve.

Here’s an example of what I mean.
I decided to make it a habit to prepare myself internally, in my heart and my mind to be, or become knowledgeable, so that I am motivated and energized enough to be in control, and to use the time that is available to me more effectively.

“We now accept the fact that learning is a lifelong process of keeping abreast of change. And the most pressing task is to teach people how to learn.” – Peter Drucker.

This is the biggest lesson I’ve learned when it comes to forming habits and how it has helped me supercharge my productivity.

“You see, in life, lots of people know what to do, but few people actually do what they know. Knowing is not enough! You must take action.” – Tony Robbins

When I am motivated and energized I am determined to finish what I start even if it means working in a few more hours. That is the important thing; successfully concluding what was started. Every positive change in our lives begins with a clear unambiguous decision.
What are we going to stop doing? What are we going to start doing?
The answers to these questions are where the tire meets the tar.

Determination is one of the most important qualities of successful and happy men and women. Determination, decisiveness, will power, definiteness and resoluteness are qualities that can be developed through practice and repetition, over and over again, until it becomes as natural to you as breathing in and breathing out.

Conclusion: As you will notice there are two concepts here, two things that breed success.
1. Preparing yourself and finding what your motivation is, and
2. Determination and discipline.
They are enmeshed really, without knowing your motivation you will lack determination.

Decide today that you are going to become an expert in outputs and producing results.
Discipline yourself to do what you know you need to do to be the very best in your field and in your personal life. Thus you become a more efficient person who produces more output in any given amount of time than a less efficient person.

If we did all the things we are capable of, we would literally astound ourselves. - Thomas A. Edison
