3 Ways to Stop Struggling and Start Thriving in Your Business

Dang, sometimes business feels like a struggle, right?

All entrepreneurs struggle at times. Like the time I was $75K in debt. Ouch. The good news is, I was able to move through that struggle and within 6 months, I was back in the black. Whew!

It’s not important that you sometimes feel like you struggle. We all do.

What matters is how you respond.

Here are 3 things you can do that will help you stop struggling and start thriving:

1. Keep your impact intention in front of you. When you have a bigger view, and a bigger purpose, you’ll move through struggle more quickly. Your lows won’t be as low. When you focus on how you want to contribute, you’ll be motivated to problem solve and get past it.

2. Focus on what’s working, not on what’s not. Focus on your progress, how far you’ve come, not on what’s yet to do. Here’s a great way to do that: at the end of each day, write down everything you’ve accomplished, no matter how small. Even on those days where you think you haven’t accomplished a thing, you’ll be amazed. Then amp that up with some gratitude: what you’re grateful for today. I started this practice several years ago, and it never fails to lift me up, and I start to see creative solutions almost immediately.

3. Take action. Step back from the struggle. Go for a walk. Do step #2. Whatever it takes to get a new perspective. From that place, ask for mentoring advice. Your mentors are invaluable in times like these. With that wisdom, plan your next steps, and then do them! Action shifts energy. You’ll feel more capable and it will take you out of your worry and anxiety.

Tough times can help make you and your business great.

You’ll discover new approaches you never would have if the path had been smooth. You’ll discover new aspects of yourself that you never would have developed.

The gold is in how you respond to and use those times.
